listened to all of Pierre's discs probably hundreds of times and hear
something new every time. I've had the pleasure of meeting Pierre

My
favourite painting is the "Vanitas Still Life" by Jan Lievens. A very
simple scene but incredibly difficult to capture on canvas. This
painting demonstrates the skill of capturing surfaces and textures. The
artist was originally unknown and the painting was attributed to the
Rembrandt circle. It was later attributed to Lievens since some of the
articles that appear in the picture appear to be the same as those in
other Lievens paintings.

Das Boot

six part Das
Boot series, I can watch it again and again. The story of a German
U-boat crew on duty in the Atlantic. Great acting, very well directed.
The six part series is vastly superior to the shorter film that was
produced later.

Star Trek

grew up during the space race, which was also when Star Trek first
hit the screen. There was something about the first series that really
captured my imagination.
